Edi Simčič Kozana Merlot

Kozana Merlot is the flagship red from Edi Simčič, one of Slovenia's most acclaimed wine estates. A rare and prestige bottling hand selected from just 5–7 barrels a year it has earned an amazing reputation and is regarded as one of the finest Merlots produced anywhere. Deep ruby in colour, with dark fruit, coffee, liquorice and smoky spice on the nose, it's dry, structured and long, with firm tannins and fine acidity. Limited quantity, exceptional quality this is a bottle for collectors, not casual sipping. Best served at 16–18°C alongside red meat, braised lamb, or aged cheeses.
